Blog VacationIf you spend any time at all on this blog, you may have noticed that I haven’t posted anything in a while. No, I’m not dead on the side of the road somewhere. And, no, I haven’t given up on the blog. If anything, I’m more fired up than ever. Nope, I haven’t written for a while intentionally. Call it a “blog vacation”. I’ve noticed that a lot of blogs start out with good intentions and fizzle out after a year or so. I believe that this is due in main part to blog fatigue. The blogger just gets sick of writing all the time, or gets bored and moves on to other things. So, to counter this pattern, I decided to take a summer break and work on other stuff for a while.

What did I do on my summer vacation?

Mostly I worked on getting the new Academy of Wine Communications website up and running, with all sorts of cool new features. It is LIVE now, and we will be announcing it in a few days. You can take a sneak peak though.

I also did some typical jobs around the house and spent time with family. The usual.

If you are a blogger and are suffering from blog fatigue, I recommend a blog vacation. It will do wonders.
